After that time, later than in the three Gauls, the association with a Gallic god appears, or with a Roman god linked to a Gallic one. From the time of Hadrian it had been an imperial numen: the new worship is reinforced, favoured by the former gods, and its purpose is rather the imperial status than the person entitled to the office.
