At Saint-Romain-en-Gal, suburb of the Vienne colony located on the right bank of the Rhône (1st century B.C. -3rd century A.D.) the urban scheme is limited southwards by a large portico perpendicular to the river and about 200 meters long. It was discovered at the end of the sixties and belongs to a larger set including in particular two public baths (among which the Palais du Miroir baths) situated around a central area of 50.000 square meters. New researches carried out since 1981 have pointed out the map and the chronology of part of this unit.
