The silt bottom of the water of the ancient port of Narbonne yielded these past years significant objects linked to the sea trade particularly flourishing at the beginning of the Principate. According to the current information, pieces of glass excavated from 1990 till 1992 are a homogenous set from the time of the first decades of the first century until the years 55-60 for the latest. The 94 vases of this set, often kept in a noteworthy state of preservation (though never perfect) are together with a few fragments of raw glass which might have been samples for a next delivery.
