The present contribution deals with the mutual relationship between economics and psychology. Suggestions towards „psychological economics" and „economic psychology" have been made in both directions: Since a long time, scientists in economics have tried to supplement or even substitute the narrowness of economic rational theory by psychological behavioral concepts though at the same time loosing connexion with psychology as a science. Inversely, scientific psychologists have tried to apply psychological concepts to economic issues without being able to reduce the unrelatedness of the two branches of science.
