This chapter presents a new self-calibration method for all currents in current-steering DACs. The new method is based on simple circuits that do not require any special high design specifications. For self-measurements, a current comparator is used. For self-correction, small calibrating DACs (CALDACs) are attached to every current for calibration. The algorithms that control the calibration process are simple and can be implemented as finite-state-machines (FSMs).</p
