In this work, a superficial hyperthermia applicator was designed to be used in small animal studies. The applicator operates at 2.45 GHz and is compatible with a magnetic resonance scanner. A temperature controller was interfaced with the applicator to control the rate of change in temperature and the target temperature. Operation and robustness were validated through phantom and in vivo experiments.</p
