In this study, an experimental investigation of the removal of NOx has been carried out with a dielectric barrier discharge reactor filled with different catalytic materials. NOx removal efficiency and by-products formation were studied as a function of energy density using plasma catalytic configuration. TiO2, CuO-MnO2-TiO2, CuO-MnO2-Al2O3 catalysts were used to study the synergy between plasma and catalysts. Compared with TiO2 and CuO-MnO2-Al2O3 catalysts, CuO-MnO2-TiO2catalyst proved to be efficient with respect to the reduced ozone formation.
