A broadband travelling wave frequency divider is presented as a prescaler for a 40 GHz frequency synthesizer which can be used for 60 GHz sliding-IF downconversion. The divider has an operating range from 22 to 45 GHz and consumes 10 mA from a 1.2 V supply. Designed in a bulk CMOS 90nm technology, the divider provides both differential and quadrature outputs
