Constituents of the stem, leaf and seed oils of Alpinia katsumadai Hayata L. from Vietnam

The essential oils of A. katsumadai, obtained by hydrodistillation of the leaves, stems and seeds, were analyzed by GC/MS. The leaf and stem oils were similar in composition, with a-pinene, l3-pinene, myrcene, a-phellandrene, 1,8-cineole, fenchone and geraniol as major constituents. The seed oil had a different composition, with myrcene, linalool, citronellol, geraniol, decanol, citronellyl and geranyl acetates as main components
