Observations sur l'évolution quaternaire des bassins du Haut Artuby (Préalpes de Castellane)

The morphological evolution of the Upper Aituhy basins (Prealps of Castellane) brings up two types of problems : on the one hand, the laying out of the watercourses, on the other hand, the digging of these basins, caused by erosion. Some epigenies (particularly the gorges of the Artuby at the South of the village of La Martre) seem to be linked to quaternary neotectonics. As to the clearing away of these basins caused by erosion, it has, essentially, been made during the last two cold periods of the Quaternary.Heyraud E. C.
