Tehran has increased six fold during the last 30 years, and gets now 1/3 of productive investments of Iran. The great rapidity of this growth has wholly transformed the urban structure of this Islamic town, now become an international metropolis. There are now two different capitals whose relations are increasingly slighter : northwards, a rich and brilliant international capital, southwards, a popular industrial town having tightened relations with Iranian provinces.
