A programme of neighbourhood enquiries, archaeological survey and the realisation of a multitude of small excavations has enabled the route of the roman aqueduct of Carhaix to be precised. Covering a distance of 27 kilometres, the aqueduct with a low percentage slope of 0,27 metre per kilometre, comprised two important structures, a tunnel 800 metres in length and at it's arrival in Carhaix a bridge 900 metres long.
