Die Metathese von Ethen und 2-Buten ist ein Verfahren, welches eine selektive und bedarfsgerechte Produktion von Propen ermöglicht. Übergangsmetalloxide, wie z.B. ReOx, MoOx oder WOx, katalysieren die Metathesereaktion. Um die aktivitäts- und selektivitätsbeeinflussenden Faktoren solcher Katalysatoren zu bestimmen, wurden in dieser Arbeit an definierten MOx-Strukturen (M = Mo oder W) mechanistische und kinetische Untersuchungen bzgl. der Metathese von Ethen und 2-Buten sowie der parallel ablaufenden 2- zu 1-Buten-Isomerisierung durchgeführt.
