A series of Ag-AI bulk alloys was made by argon arc melting, while thin films of these alloys were prepared by ultrahigh vacuum vapor deposition. By means of light microscopy, x-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and low energy ion scattering under ultrahigh vacuum conditions, the precipitation events during low temperature annealing were investigated.</p
