Inkjet printers grew in popularity with computers. Approximately three quarters of all inkjet printers are thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers. In recent years, the “multi jet fusion” technology for industrial use announced by HP in October 2014 has received a great deal of interest from the three-dimensional (3D) printing market. This technology ensures the strength of 3D objects and printing (manufacturing) speed, while allowing a high level of freedom in shape formation as well as precise coloring.
