The term «spirit» is used here to refer to the dynamism which underpins the desire for truth, the capacity to act in the practical field and basic moral feelings. In the three areas the spirit manifests itself firstly through the dialectic between the unity of a generative act and the multiplicity of the theoretical, practical or ethical objects in which this unity is dispersed and brought together again. Furthermore, the same movement exists between the suprapersonal unity of the desire for truth, the capacity to act and the strength to love, and, on the other hand, the multiplicity of those searching truth, of agents of social interaction and of protagonists in the search for justice.
