Die Arbeit leistet einen Beitrag zu den Untersuchungen von optischen Burst-vermittelten Netzen (OBS). Die Leistungsfähigkeit, die technische Realisierbarkeit und die entstehende Komplexität solcher Netze wird eingehend untersucht.
