Die Struktur von Atomen und Molekülen auf Oberflächen kann mit Photoelektronenbeugung im scanned-energy mode bestimmt werden. Dazu wird die Intensität der Photoemission aus einem Rumpfniveau des Adsorbats winkelaufgelöst in Abhängigkeit von der Energie gemessen. Thema dieser Arbeit ist die Bestimmung der lokalen Adsorptionsgeometrie von verschiedenen Adsorbaten auf Nickel-, Kupfer- und Siliziumoberflächen mit Hilfe dieser Methode. Auf Ni{100} adsorbiert C bei niedriger Bedeckung (Theta=0.15) im Vierfachlochplatz ohne eine Umordnung der Substratatome hervorzurufen.
