This paper gives an review, with 8 refs., of the activities on IR Fourier Transform Spectroscopy at the TNO-Physics and Electronics Lab. Spectra are shown for aircraft plume emission and transmission through wildfire smoke and missile plume smoke. These examples demonstrate the possibilities of these techniques to identify gases and to det. their concns. and temps. Calibration techniques are discussed, which are required to obtain quant. data on emission and transmission
