Computational Morphology is the analysis of form by computational means. The present paper is more specifically about the construction and manipulation of closed object boundaries through a set of scattered points in 2D. Results are developed in four successive stages of computational morphology: 1. impose a geometrical graph structure on the set of scattered points; 2. construct a polygonal boundary curve from this geometrical graph structure; 3. build a hierarchy of polygonal approximations together with localization informatiion; 4. construct a geometric continuous object boundary.
