In France, the body of research on universities and student life has grown considerably in recent years. All studies confirm a wide diversity in the curriculum offered by institutions of higher education, in the paths taken by the students, and in the relationship between students and their studies. Overall, these studies contribute to a better understanding of the way in which a growing number of today's youth enter the adult world.
