Laughter is a visible pleasure which involves a social aspect. Bergson saw in it a common sense reaction bound to a formulation of the comic and a regulatory phenomenon due to society. This view was criticised by Dupréel in the name of sociological plurality and by Jeanson in the name of individual existence. The continuation of the consideration can be supported to a considerable extent from Kant.
