This wreck is located on the east coast of the Frioul archipelago, in the bay of Marseille. This ship, still under excavation, trans ported a cargo of tiles, at the end of the lst century AD. It is particularly characterized by its robust construction. Its massive mast step sits on two lateral keelsons. It is supported on the both sides of the mast step cavity by two pieces of buttressing with a triangular profile, elements never seen before on an ancient wreck. Theses pieces rest on the lateral keelsons and are nailed at their ends on to the framesXiménès Serge, Moerman Martine. Fouille de l'épave de la calanque de l'Âne (Marseille).
