We experimentally demonstrate an optical packet routing node with contention resolution in the time and wavelength contention domain. The node comprises an optical buffer and a wavelength converter. Although the experimental results are shown at 10 Gb/s, the bitrate can be increased substantially. Bit-error rate measurements are shown, sustaining only 3.5 dB power penalty after 10 µs of optical buffering and wavelength conversion over 5 nm wavelength span
