In Canada, the marketing of the products of cattle-breeding is done in several different ways. Whereas the cattle market enjoys a large amount of freedom, the sales of milk, eggs, poultry and pork are controlled by the marketing boards. Their powers, however, vary considerably. As regards milk and poultry farming planning is very strict and production is adjusted to consumption.
