This study investigates the impact in terms of radiation dose when performing simultaneous digital breast tomosynthesis(DBT) and mechanical imaging (MI) – DBTMI. DBTMI has demonstrated the potential to increase specificity of cancerdetection, and reduce unnecessary biopsies, as compared to digital mammography (DM) screening.
