E. Stein and K. Wojtyla deserve comparison, although the thought of the latter was formed without the slightest influence of the former assistant of E. Husserl and even for that reason. The reason is because the phenomenologist, who came to initiate herself in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the disciple of the Angelicum who was greatly influenced by Scheler both studied the human person in the light of the two philosophies synthesised by each of them. It is in fact interesting to observe that they characterize the human person in almost identical terms without attempting to prove in advance that man is in reality endowed with that which constitutes a person according to the view which they hold.
