Genus Pachypsaltria Stål, 1861 Pachypsaltria Stål 1861: 616. TYPE SPECIES. Cicada cintomaculata Stål 1854: 243. (Venezuela) REMARKS. These are robust cicadas with the abdomen shorter than the length of the head to cruciform elevation, the fore wings are infuscated along most or all veins, and the body is covered with long, thick pile (Stål 1861; Torres 1960). DISTRIBUTION.
