L'appréciation du progrès technique et d'organisation à l'aide d'une fonction de production de type Cobb-Douglas

Assessing the Effects of Technical Progress by Means of the Cobb-Douglas Production Function. The author demonstrates how present economic conditions can be adapted to the equation elaborated by Cobb and Douglas in 1927, which did not take into account the effects of technical and organizational progress, and proposes an economic interpretation of the function. Subsequently, the problem of verification of the production function as applied to statistical data on Polish economic development between 1951-1970 is treated. This system of analysis, in Nasilowski's opinion, which certain economists hailed with enthusiasm, has no real superiority (formally or mathematically) over less complex methods. However, he does not altogether reject certain types of practical application of the production function.Dans une première partie, l'auteur propose une interprétation économique de la fonction de production du type Cobb-Douglas. Il montre de quelle manière on peut adapter aux conditions économiques actuelles l'équation initialement établie par Cobb et Douglas (1927) et qui ne tenait pas compte des effets du progrès en matière de technique et d'organisation. Le seconde partie "est consacrée à la vérification de la fonction de production sur la base de données statistiques concernant le développement économique de la Pologne aux cours des années 1951-1970. L'auteur estime que cette fonction, qui a pu provoquer chez certains un véritable enthousiasme, ne montre pas de supériorité réelle (et non seulement formelle et mathématique) par rapport à des calculs et des solutions nettement moins complexes. Mais, s'il la critique, il ne la rejette pas entièrement et donne quelques exemples d'application pratique de la fonction de production découlant de l'équation de Cobb-Douglas.Nasilowski Mieczyslaw.
