Les communications posturales à l'école maternelle.

The aim of this research is to point out first that every non verbal communication as well as every body expression is of emotional trend. It is the affective life of the child that is the background where the child progressively learns how to turn his reflexes into expressions and his expressions into communications. We agree with H. Wallon and the Psychoanalysts' thesis about the part played by emotion in human being in regard to language behaviors. In fact non verbal communication includes nonverbal expression which may be used for itself without including necessarily communication as one can observe it in mental ill people and not only in children. Preschool children (3 to 6) illustrate very well this distinction because they are living their first separation from their families and their first encounters with school-mates. Psychoanalyse points out that the desire of the child to entertain relations with other human beings is made first of expressions that is to say of body gestures in which the meaning is mingled with movement and then with non verbal communications in which meaning becomes conscious and different from gestures.II s'agit principalement de montrer tout d'abord que toute communication non verbale, comme toute expression corporelle de l'enfant, est de nature émotionnelle: c'est la vie affective de l'enfant qui constitue le terrain où peu à peu, l'enfant apprend à transformer ses réflexes en expressions et ses expressions en comm unicat ions. En cela nous rejoignons les thèses de Henri Wallon et celle de la psychanalyse sur le rôle de l'affectivité chez l'être humain par rapport au comportement catégoriel tel qu'il s'offre dans le langage et dans les concepts. Il s'agit aussi dans notre article, de montrer comment l'expression est distincte de la communication. En effet la communication non verbale implique une expression non verbale, mais celle-ci peut exister toute seule sans s'ouvrir à la communication, comme nous le voyons chez certains malades et pas seulement chez l'enfant. L'école maternelle (3 à 6 ans) est un terrain privilégié pour l'illustration de cette distinction car c'est là que l'enfant vit, loin de sa famille, et en rapport avec ses pairs. La psychanalyse nous montre que le désir de relation à autrui, inscrit dans l'enfant, se module en expressions tout d'abord, c'est-à-dire en gestes corporels où la signification est confondue avec le mouvement, et en communications non verbales ensuite dans lesquelles la signification est devenue consciente et séparée du geste.Abécassis Janine.
