La gnoséologie et son influence sur la théorie linguistique chez Gustave Guillaume

ABSTRACT : The underlying gnoseology of the French linguiste Gustave Guillaume (1883-1960) is very important in the formulation of his linguistic theory. His conception of a thinking Ego, able to probe its own mind and to penetrate the system of the en langue determined almost all his linguistic methodology and epistemology. Our purpose is to demonstrate the importance of this key aspect of Guillaume's underlying philosophy and also to show that a dialectical negation of such a gnoseological framework tends to emerge from his own thought.RESUME : La gnoséologie implicite du linguiste français Gustave Guillaume (1883-1960) a une grande importance dans la formulation de sa théorie linguistique. Sa conception d'un Je pensant, capable de sonder son propre esprit et de pénétrer le système de Yen langue a déterminé presque toute sa méthodologie et son épistémologie linguistiques.
