Les Ligneries à Charentilly (Indre-et-Loire) : du logis à salle basse au manoir du XVe s. / Les ligneries at Charentilly (Indre- et-Loire) : from the lowest dwelling to the manor of the 15th century

The manor of Ligneries has been the subject of a thorough analysis of masonry and frames. From this comes a better understanding of the architectural evolution of the building, too little documented by the written sources. Two principal architectural states could be highlighted for the medieval period. The existence of a low room under timberwork of 14th century, adjacent to the residential block, indicates a little known type in Anjou-Touraine. Various successive redevelopments also testify to changes at the end of the Middle-Ages and the beginning of the Modern period. As regards periods prior to the end of 15th century, the framework, dated by dendrochronology, contributes to the definition of a regional typo-chronology. Lastly, the architectural data, first with the study of materials and, secondly, with the dendrochronology results, provide new elements to our knowledge of the rural "manorial" residence, built in 14th and 15th century. They show the technological developments in construction with notable differences in the use of stone and wood.Le manoir des Ligneries a fait l'objet d'une analyse approfondie des maçonneries et des charpentes. Il en résulte une meilleure compréhension de l'évolution architecturale de l'édifice, trop peu documentée par les sources écrites. Deux principaux états architecturaux ont pu être mis en évidence pour la période médiévale. L'existence d'une salle basse sous charpente du XIVe s., attenante au bloc résidentiel, signale un type d'habitat mal connu en Anjou-Touraine. Différents réaménagements successifs témoignent aussi de mutations survenues à la fin du Moyen-Âge et au début de l'époque moderne. S'agissant de périodes antérieures à la fin du XVe s., la charpente, datée par dendrochronologie, participe à la définition d'une typo-chronologie régionale. Enfin, les données architecturales, associées d'une part à l'étude des matériaux et d'autre part aux résultats de la dendrochronologie, apportent des éléments nouveaux dans la connaissance des résidences seigneuriales rurales, édifiées aux XIVe et XVe s. Elles mettent notamment l'accent sur l'évolution des techniques de construction avec des différences notables dans la mise en œuvre de la pierre et du bois.Carré Gaël, Litoux Emmanuel, Hunot Jean-Yves.
