The manor of Ligneries has been the subject of a thorough analysis of masonry and frames. From this comes a better understanding of the architectural evolution of the building, too little documented by the written sources. Two principal architectural states could be highlighted for the medieval period. The existence of a low room under timberwork of 14th century, adjacent to the residential block, indicates a little known type in Anjou-Touraine. Various successive redevelopments also testify to changes at the end of the Middle-Ages and the beginning of the Modern period.
