Un quartier d'habitat de l'agglomération antique de Drevant (Cher) / A residential quarter in the antique agglomeration of Drevant (Cher)

The rescue excavation of a vast area, located outside the monumental center on the northern edge of the antique agglomeration of Drevant, has revealed the occupation of a residential quarter on the urban fringe from the Is' century to the end of the 3rd century AD. Among the main features may be noted the discovery of several dwellings, including one with a cellar (in the fill of which was found a coin-hoard), a closed assemblage of late Roman pottery, hearths, a trough for keeting the lime and an aqueduct.La fouille préventive d'une vaste superficie située en dehors du centre monumental, à la périphérie nord de l'agglomération antique de Drevant, éclaire l'occupation d'un quartier d'habitat péri-urbain entre le Ier siècle et la fin du IIIe siècle ap. J.-C. Parmi les éléments majeurs, on retiendra la découverte de plusieurs habitations dont une avec cave (dans le comblement de laquelle fut découvert un dépôt monétaire) et un ensemble clos de céramiques du Bas-Empire, des foyers, des bacs à chaux et un aqueduc.Cribellier Christian.
