A hoard of palstaves was discovered by pure chance in the spring of 1982 at Baudrussais in the commune of Linge (Indre). The rescue excavation and the investigations that followed confirm the northward extent of the area of distribution of Central-West type palstaves. The distinctive features of these axes (length and mass) plead in favour of a local manufacture, but this can not be proved. Above all, these artefacts represent the initial phase of the Middle Bronze Age (Bronze Age B according to Reinecke) in the Berry extremely well.Un dépôt de haches à talon fut découvert fortuitement au printemps 1982 à Baudrussais sur la commune de Linge (Indre). Le sauvetage et les études qui ont suivi confirment l'extension septentrionale de l'aire de répartition des haches à talon du type du Centre-Ouest. Les singularités de ces haches (longueur et massivité) militent en faveur d'une fabrication locale qui ne peut toutefois être absolument prouvée.
