Impact of the covid-19 pandemic on air passenger transport

This thesis examines the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on air passenger transport within the air transport network structures. It also focuses on examining the relationships between different categories of the global airport network during the pandemic and regional differences in air passenger traffic around the world. The results of the thesis are presented by analysing data for the period before and after the start of the covid-19 pandemic. The data on which the thesis is based are compiled from several global aviation organisations such as ICAO - International Civil Aviation Organisation or IATA - International Air Transport Association or from publicly available annual reports of individual airports around the world.
