Scout troops in times of totalitarianism in Bohemia

The thesis deals with the history of scouting in Bohemia, especially focusing on its functioning in totalitarian goverments. The first chapter deals with the formation of scouting in the world and its foreign founders, the second chapter continues with the formation of scouting in our country and its Czech founder. In other chapters, scouting in Bohemia is described in individual time periods. These are divided into the period of the First World War, the occupation of Czechoslovakia (this chapter also includes a brief description of the interwar period), then the years 1948-1970, and finally the period after 1970 until the Velvet Revolution (1989). In the next chapter, the difference between the Junák and Pionýr organizations is explained, especially according to their laws. The thesis also deals with the personality of Jaroslav Foglar and his influence on Czech scouting. The last chapters are dedicated to the history of a specific troop, Třináctka Opařany, which also includes memories of witnesses from this troop for the period after 1970
