The Importance of Spirituality for the Quality of Life of Seniors

The present Bachelor's thesis focuses on the significance of spirituality for the quality of life of the elderly. The theoretical part discusses the primary concepts, using the relevant literature to facilitate understanding the topic of spirituality, quality of life and the elderly. The practical part of the thesis involves qualitative research relying on data collected by questionnaire method, using semi-structured interviews. The respondents were elderly people from the town of Dačice and its surroundings. The research focused on the influence of spirituality on the quality of life of the elderly and the importance of spirituality in coping with the loss of loved ones. After analysing the data, the results are evaluated. The last part of the thesis presents a discussion answering the research questions and a conclusion summarising the entire thesis
