The effects of loneliness on seniors' physical and mental health

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of loneliness in seniors who are clients of a specific care service. The thesis is divided into two areas. The first area characterizing the basic terms, that are key to the chosen topic, according to the professional literature. The term old age as understood from a biological, psychological or sociological perspective, then the needs of the elderly and last but not least the definition of loneliness and the factors that influence loneliness. The second area deals with the definition of care services, which is important here. Since the case studies are created based on the clients of the organization. The research consists of case studies supplemented by semi-structured interviews. The research examines the causes and factors that caused the feeling of loneliness in the selected elderly
