Reflection of values during social work with Roma adolescents at risk

The master's thesis, titled "Reflection of social workers' and Roma clients' values in a selected low-threshold facility for children and youth with regard to their potential value conflict," explores different understandings of values. It provides a comprehensive reflection on the individual values that emerge in interventions with Roma at-risk youth. The thesis explains general concepts related to the issue, describes the characteristics of the Roma ethnicity and youth who visit the facility, and presents the values of the organization, clients, and social workers themselves, including a view of the social worker's personality. The final section is devoted to the value conflicts that can arise in the relationship between the organization, social workers, and clients. It addresses the sensitive perception of professional and personal values among the workers of the selected low-threshold facility, and interprets the results of a survey conducted among workers and clients. The situations are depicted in specific areas, and insights from professional literature are supplemented with examples from the author's own practice
