PHILIPPE BONNIH The notion of "housing" in its economic and administrative definitions seems to be poorly adapted in representing the reality as it is lived daily by the families, and in the long-term : each dwelling is the fruit of a constant and reiterate production. These facts brought to the fore by qualitative methods, could be integrated to the quantitative inquiries. The article proposes to prop up this position by the results of an INSEE inquiry, being presently analysed, on "domestic production". The introduction proposes the construction of an interpretative frame which allows to exceed a simple sociometry, jointed to a reactualization of Û\cDomus concept.
