Insecticide resistance represents a major threat for the control of insect vectors. In last years, genetically-based tools have been proposed as a cutting-edge alternative to counteract this problem. However, high-quality -omics resources are crucial for an effective application of these tools. Here, we presented a de novo transcriptome of the mosquito vector Culex pipiens, assembled by using sequences of susceptible and diflubenzuron-resistant individuals. A total of 437,233,732 reads were assembled and annotated and the high-quality of the assemblage was confirmed by TransRate and BUSCO.
