Background and purposeNon-invasive, simple, and repetitive swallowing evaluation is required to prevent aspiration pneumonia in neurological care. We investigated the usefulness of swallowing sound evaluation in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using our new electronic stethoscope artificial intelligence (AI) analysis tool.MethodsWe studied patients with ALS who provided written informed consent.
