El papel de las bibliotecas en respuesta al COVID. Guías y recomendaciones

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a turning point in the field of education and culture, as libraries, as facilitators of resources, information, and knowledge access, have played a fundamental and essential role for diverse users around the world. Traditionally, library activities have been centered around in-person interactions with reading communities. However, in this new context, libraries have gradually adapted to various types of activities, diverse initiatives, and even services that have become exclusively digital, with the aim of maintaining ongoing dialogue and providing access to literary and cultural production, among other library services. In this sense, during the COVID-19 era, different international associations and national organizations dedicated to libraries in each country swiftly provided initial guidelines and recommendations for those managing various information units and for the daily work of library professionals. Thus, recommendations and protocols produced in these early years of the pandemic and social distancing are presented
