The paper seeks to explore the challenges and threats of the Internet that faced local travel agents. The paper also investigates the use of the Internet among the smaller travel agents.It also investigates the consumers' preferences towards online travel and hence the threats and challenges for the travel agents. Finally, recommendations are suggested for the local travel agents and for future research
