Economic dispatch (ED) is a study on the distribution of power in the system. Solving an Economic dispatch problem helps to achieve the most cost-efficient while fully utilizing the generator and meeting the load demand of the whole system. The traditional method of solving ED problems uses centralized methods; however, for this project, the distributed methods are used to implement the algorithm. The optimization in distributed method occurs at local agents; by creating an algorithm that allows each agent to communicate with the neighbor and iteratively estimate to achieve the optimal solution in a distributed way.
