For an inverter to achieved high voltage rating, it needed to connect to the power semiconductor device and one of the devices will be multilevel inverter. Total there are a few different type of multilevel inverter but for this project it focus on two simple multilevel inverter which are diode clamped inverter and flying capacitor inverter. Multilevel inverter is able to achieve high quality output for example less THD (Total harmonic distortion), simply by increase the number of level and select the appropriate switching angle.
