Single-photon emitters (SPEs) have been taken as the building block for quantum information technologies. In recent decades, people have kept searching for the 'ideal' on-demand SPEs as the fundamental light resource for many proposed quantum information schemes: quantum key distribution, quantum teleportation, quantum computing, and et cetera. With the discovery of telecom range SPEs in GaN and 3C-SiC host materials, we made an effort to characterize many important optical properties and elucidated the quantum emitters' formation. We also expanded our scope to include the perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) and studied the complex physics of single CsPbBr3 nanocrystal photoluminescence emission.
