Hollow micro-/nanostructures have attracted tremendous interest owing to their intriguing structure-induced physicochemical properties and great potential for widespread applications. With the development of modern synthetic methodology and analytical instruments, a rapid structural/compositional evolution of hollow structures from simple to complex has occurred in recent decades.
