This project uses a theoretical formula to study the behaviour of slender high strength concrete columns which are pin-ended and subjected to a short term bending about the minor axis. It gives a good estimation for concrete with strength of 100 N/mm² to 120 N/mm², but underestimates the strain for concrete with a strength falls under 100 N/mm². Software program such as Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 is used in this case, to create into a programming code to allow us to identify out the failure loads of slender reinforced concrete columns subjected to eccentric end loading.
