Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) is method widely deployed to recreate accurate high-resolution reconstructions of the earth’s surface. Polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) in particular, is a method that recreates images of the terrain via measurement of the polarimetric properties of scatterers. PolSAR has rapidly risen in use over the years and now serves a multitude of purposes. The ability of visualize the landscape has shown prominence in areas such as agriculture monitoring, where information such as the estimation of fauna height and soil moisture can be estimated and monitored via the use of PolSAR. PolSAR has also seen military use, where the ability to distinguish between natural and manmade constructs assist in identi...
